Exerpts from our FPG 'In The Field' Online Magazine October 2009 Edition

We ended up running full bore 100 plus miles north into the Sound through a window called ‘Hole In The Wall’
It was here we really got the feel for the extreme currents, especially through narrow choke points like The Hole….it is so extreme there are literally whirlpools the size of the skis that form right underneath you…even as your going 30+miles per hour…we ended up getting bounced through the passage a little bit and jumping over a few whirlpools big enough to suck a ski down to Davy Jones Locker.
We made it up into a passage in the Sound near a place called Stuart Island which lead right up into a blue water glacier field. Man it was like being at the top of the world up there with the mountains and perfect glass conditions…what a difference!
Cruising at 60+mph reminded us of breaking fresh powder on previous ski trips together in the past…
We just had to be hyper-vigilant of the floating logs…and they were up there…

This R&D Expedition took us up into Desolation Sound British Columbia. We ran our Scout PWC's up with a complete FPG loadout of equipment and also had the chance to R&D some future products in the mountainous terrain in the area. It was a great trip.
